    Saguenay Fjord at Ste-Rose-du-Nord

This image was taken from high up above the village of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord looking south down the Saguenay Fjord. The shot was taken late in the afternoon on an overcast day.

    Hi, Manfred! What a view!

imho, the only detractor is that I do find the image a bit flat. Other than that, there is much to enjoy.

I don't remember seeing such variation in the green tones in a forest. Very interesting!

That's due to the mixture of Coniferous (needles) and Deciduous (leafy) trees. Common knowledge amongst us country folks.

Being overcast and cloudy tends to make things look a bit flat...

    Here's a bit more pop.

Great composition. That left-hand shoreline starting down below at the houses, provides a wonderful zig-zag that takes us back and across the picture.

Mike - the leaves are just coming out up here and they are a very light green when they do. There is still a bit of snow in the shaded areas and up on the higher hills too. Early spring in these parts.

This is a very nice composition Manfred. I like the way that the little houses lead to the river, and the river then leads to the sea and beyond. The little church in the lower left makes the image for me.
