Hi Nat. I think I would be tempted to try losing some of the foreground in favor of the more interesting clouds. The cattle would then be at the 1/3rd position rather then the 2/3rds position in the composition.
I have to agree I would crop the foreground and leave the clouds..also get rid of the line in top left corner.Maybe add some contrast.Still a nice picture.
Thanks, Frank, Peter. I did another try....with the sky showing more...I also took it into Topaz Adjust, to play with it, so it's a bit brighter and colorful. What I am finding is that when I upload to Photobucket, it loses contrast and saturation. I had two windows open side by side and it was then I saw the big difference in what happens during transfer. I wonder if flickr does the same thing?

Much better, IMHO.
Thanks. I like it better, too.
Worth viewing in the Lytebox to see a bit bigger.
I bet the third version is great filling the screen
Thank you, Dave. Where do people link from where you CAN see a full screen when you click on it? Photobucket crops down.
Third one is definitely great! It all came together- nice clouds and a group of cows happened to line up and all looking at you! Hard to find that kind of a pose!
Lots better
TinyPic will host upto 1600 wide from here at CiC (but don't make anything taller than 1000px or it won't fit people's screens)
I use PBase for a few dollars a year.
Thank you all again. It does look so much better.
Love your final image. They're so cute!
It was interesting to watch that photo in its different forms. The final one is delightful.
A great transformation!!
Thank you, Teresa, Hazel, and james.....Sometimes it takes other's eyes to see a better composition....I'm happy with the results. That is what is so nice at this forum.
no more needs to be said nice comp!
Edit works great.
The crop works wonders. What was a good picture is now a great picture.
