Hi Jason, you have a nice capture except for the pesky straw. Here is a situation where it may be worthwhile to carry a pair of tweezers to pluck away the bits that detract from the composition before you shoot. Another handy tool for shooting on the forest floor is a soft brush to do away with small bits of rubble shuch as on top of the mushroom cap. It can be cleaned up in post processing but if you can address these issues before you press the shutter, you'll have a much better image.
The other thing that the brush and tweezers do is to cause you to slow down and really examine the subject for better shooting angles.
