Farewell, 14-24mm - D800 low and high ISO test
We've had fun, my 14-24mm and me. We've traveled a lot but mainly had alone time photographing the architecture of Dubai.
After 18 months she's left me now - gone to a good home and sold for $200 US more than I paid for her - how I wish my car was like that!
We had one last shoot on a bridge over Dubai Marina, where I met her new owner. I thought I'd test the ISO capabilities of the D800.
Base ISO, a long shutter and a party boat cruising underneath the bridge during the exposure:
High ISO (6400), giving just enough shutter speed (1/30th) to freeze the motion of another boat:

Isn't it wonderful to get paid for using a lens for 18 months?!
Very nice images, especially the second one.

Both are very nice Phil and yes the ISO6400 cleans up quite well indeed.
