Lara: I do like images that have deep rich blacks against strong contrasts with white, however I am having trouble with this image. IMO I believe that less would be best, that is back off the black and brighten up the shadows. That tree trunk and branch in the foreground are not making for an interesting image. Maybe I am not seeing what you are, so could you give me some guidence into you thoughts on your image.

I see a creature in this branch, a creature which is watching the trunk..... and I wanted to show the whole scene.

I think you are right... this picture needs a crop.

Agree on the crop.... just below the cut off branches on the tree at the left, so that none of the sky is showing through the tree branches in the background. I also see the creature watching the trunk... almost like some kind of alien ritual or consultation

I should have cropped the image, but I always worry that it will look too tight... but... it usually needs come cropping...
