Winter dawn and old barn

Critique and comment positively encouraged. I have done my usual inclusion of the original for comparison as I find it really useful for people to give their versions and thought on what I have done.

I removed and natural gas well to one side, to get to the original I had to reverse all the healing so you get dust bunnies on the sensor et al.

Also wondering if you've thought about B&W conversion

Trevor its a simple but striking shot IMO. I rather like the processing in the first image. I think it draws out a nice contrast between the warmth of the sky and the cold foreground.

I removed the well site on processing as a gut reaction since I wanted the barn and sky only while shooting this. The well site was something obnoxious in the background that I tried to avoid. But now that you mention it it is not that bad and does give perspective and depth; so maybe it can stay.

Wendy thanks for the versions. On balance I feel the foreground needs to be dark to allow the somewhat subtle colour and texture in the clouds to come forth. And I suspect black and white would need a more dramatic sky. This sky is just to wimpy to be able to hold it's own with no help.

Thanks Steve. I will sign it in ink with my signature. That way when I am fabulously famous the value will increase and my employee will benefit even more.
