I search for fish with eggs in their mouths on every dive I go on, but so far I haven't been lucky. For most of my dives, it has been Yellowhead Jawfish that would be holding eggs, and I've seen photos of them that look great when they are doing so. If I remember correctly, this is at least the second cardinal you've shared with eggs! Lucky dog!
Your focus here is phenomenal! I can even see the tiny little eyes in the eggs and the babies develop! I'm not familiar with the behavior of these fish, but one suggestion I have for next time is to get a little lower - because the eggs are in the lower half of the face, I think it might look more appealing to be below the fish shooting upward slightly. What do you think?
