I got the NiK email yesterday. I had purchased some modules but got two free ones in the complete collection. I'm a happy camper. I use several in my normal CS6 processing... I like them.

Bah! No email for me yet.... waiting patiently.
I've just started to do editing and bought LR3 a little while ago. I'm still in the major learning stage. Is there any sense me buying the NIK package at this time?
Not one to pass up a bargain, I bought the package yesterday and have been playing with their plug-ins ever since. Wow! I could never muster up the enthusiasm to spend the $500, but at $149 it's a deal. Yes, I know - I made the purchase before I learned of the additional coupon offer. Nik sure makes Aperture and PSE work great.
Andrew, their plugins are quite useful, and helpful, but specialized. If you think you'll be playing with HDR in the future, or doing a lot of B+W conversions, among other things, then yes. They're quite helpful, and I use them frequently - but again, only specifically when I need those tools.
At that price, I don't think you can go wrong.
Got my Email yesterday for the Free Complete collection and promptly downloaded in case they decided to with draw the offer.
I have been waiting a year to purchase Color Efex 4 but could not afford the complete filter set, now I can use the money on new real ND Grads
They have great tutorials available, got to love that U-point Technology.
Thanks for the info Andrew. I don't plan on doing HDR and I don't find B&W processing that difficult. For now I will pass on the purchase but keep it in mind for the future. It's been a lot of years moving to one thing or another so I may yet end up trying it.
Thanks for the great information. I just bought the NIK Software Package and downloaded it to my Photoshop CS6. Wonderful... I opened my CS6 and there it was, the full NIK Package. I am a happy guy.
However, I am up to my neck in work so I won't be able to play with it for a while. My daughter and son-in-law just bought a new house and it came with a new washer dryer set. There's was only a year old, so they gave them to us. All I had to do was convert the dryer from natural gas to propane (which we use since we live in the country with no natural gas service). It only took a small brass orifice to change which cost just a few dollars. Unfortunately, I had to strip sown the dryer completely (removing the drum and everything) to get to the small orifice. Then my wife wanted a new dryer venting system installed and also wanted me to install a set of shelvng above the washer and dryer.
I am going to finish the jobs by tomorrow so I can have time to play with my new NIK without any comments like, "By the way, have you finished he laundry room yet?"

Hi, I too am keen to grab a bargain. Is this package fully compatible with PS3 ? Or am I going to need to upgrade?
Also is this offer about to end ,is there a need to hurry?
yours in anticipation. . .
mat
Don't know about the compatability thing. I think it works with all PSs.
There's no indication that this is 'an offer' it seems that they've respositioned the suite of products within the marketplace (for some reason only known to themselves) and that this is now the price.
Not sure if I'm the only person in the world who hasn't yet had the e-mail telling me how as an existing owner of Silver Efex Pro2, I can download (for free) the 'new' collection (yes, I have checked SPAM). I notice the Google blog telling people to be patient and hold on to the end of this week.
What is lovely however, is trying to take up Google's offer to contact them if you wish. Try it. You get launched into a round robin of going to one page, click on a link and you get taken back to the page you just left etc etc. There's info telling you when the help centres are open and you can phone ............. but I couldn't find any phone numbers.
It's hilarious. Someone has obviously put a lot of work into building pathways that take you nowhere and/or round in circles, but achieve the objective of making sure you can't actually communicate with them.
I am just as frustrated trying to retrieve serial numbers for my software. The old log-in area no longer exists on the web site.
I'm lucky I have had my free upgrade email and saved the files for Windows and MAC. I bought the Colour Efex 4 Filters a month ago via an upgrade from version 3. Possibly higher on the radar than older customers.....
Google are following their policy of circles .. Friend, Family or FOE !!
Just look at the Google Plus Page. I have now stopped all emails from my Google + account more than 100 today by following NIK on the struggles people are having with this upgrade.
Why did they change the website. It worked under NIK...... OWNERSHIP....
It may take some time.......
An interesting thread to follow ....
Regards
David
Now, by any measure that is service.
7 minutes after getting the confirmation that they got my e-mail, I got the e-mail with all the info required.
I'm always up for being sceptical about these 'big boys' of the technological world, but you cannot but be impressed by that level to service.

I'm really pleased with the heads up on this offer, as I would not have purchased at the old price. I spent much of last night viewing the Nik video tutorials on YouTube. They are top notch and very informative. I can see I'm going to have a lot of fun with this software. Just need to get out and take some photos now!
