Cute Alert! "You Watch My Back and I'll Watch Yours"

I recently discovered a 4 acre wildlife preserve on the grounds of UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Their website says that it's been the location of a rookery since 1934. My husband has been treated for cancer there off and on for the last 11 years so I can't believe I'm just now finding it. My daughter and I had a few hours yesterday to check it out and I'll definitely be dragging the camera with me on future trips. I've never seen so many birds in one place.

Lovely photos.. I especially like the 2nd shot, for the lighting, the details in the feathers on their heads, and there is something about the composition that is very compelling. Sweet!

These shots are spot on. Eagle eyes ( pun intended ) found them.

Your patience and foresight must have come into play because they really stand out.

Interesting subjects. white on green background. The right gear. Experienced/great wildlife photographer.
