The first one is possibly a fraction dark in the foreground. Maybe crop to a different size ratio and lose a bit of foreground; unless you want it to be a series of three shots.

Otherwise looks fine to me.

Nandakumar, I took these from the balcony of an apartment building on a hill overlooking the city. There was no glass in front of me.

Geoff, I should crop a little from the bottom of the first picture as you suggest and a very small amount from the second to make them all about the same. The older houses are important to the message though.

To me, the impact of these images is mostly dependent on the colour. I have noticed that the brightness and colour saturation seem to change whenever I look at them and they look very different on different computer screens. On our iMac they look brightest and best. Perhaps everybody else is seeing something different.

Tony tack sharp images with some lovely light. The first does look a little dark on my screen. About 1/4 stop increase in exposure in ACR worked for me.

If you had not stated that the houses were part of your message, I would have suggested cropping the bottom portion.
Taking this into consideration I find these very nice images, especially the third one.
