Concentration of an Artist

Hi, going forward on my photography venture I stopped and clicked another shot. Can you please review it and let me know what exactly is missing for it to reach position Perfect?

It is my first attempt for street photography. The artist is working on the face (Teeth) of Ravana's Statue which will burn (Using huge amount of crackers stuffed inside) all over India during the festival "Dussehra" on 13th Oct, 2013

Raj I think with street photography it is more about the person or people and the setting that they are in. This image to me is more the statue than the person, possibly a tighter focus on the painters would work better.
Have you checked out dubaiphil aka Phil Page, here at CIC, I think that he is one of the masters at this kind of shooting, look through his shots a very good learning experience.

Thanks for your valuable review & Information. I have seen Dubaiphil's architectural & some cityscape work but not street photography. I will surely follow his work on the street photography too.

You could try cropping to a different size ratio and losing some of the right side.

This will lose some of the 'context' of the scene, but that area is well out of focus anyway.

Ideally I would have liked to see a bit of anti clockwise rotation which would make the man's stance and the background seem more natural. But often, that isn't possible with this sort of 'real life' shot.

But you have included all the important bits here including a look of concentration in the painter's face.
