    Awful Beginning - Happy Ending

Here is Sunny in an image shot by a Maltese Rescue California volunteer. Sunny had been viciously mauled by a large dog as a puppy and had never received vet care. My wife cried when she saw these pictures and I felt a lump in my throat for this poor neglected little dog...

Here she is undergoing surgery sponsored by Maltese Rescue California. Image by the vet...

    Awful Beginning - Happy Ending

This is Sunny now. She is recovering from her surgery and is well on her way to happier life in a loving and caring home (my images)...

Yes, a little lump in my throat too, and I think that is a wonderful thing as it is important to remind the world to care and love for all the wonderful creatures we share the world with.

In the small town I lived in while in Mexico a member of the community set up an animal rescue program to care for and control the large population of homeless cats and dogs. They hosted (and still do) free spay and neuter clinics, and veterinarians flew in from the USA and Canada to volunteer their time to help at the clinic, and they also treated the animals for illness, etc. It was a wonderful volunteer program that is very successful, and still running. Indeed the majority of the cats and dogs find homes.

Richard I can hate you for posting images like #1. You should warn sensitive viewers.
You deserve lots of admiration at Maltese Rescue for the work you people do.
#3 looks like your great doggy shots again.

    Thanks for upsetting me!

Oh Richard, now you have made me cry.....My best friend went on holiday last year with her family to Cyprus and during their stay they came across a stray dog who was close to death, left starving and dying of thirst on the side of the road. My friend is one of the world's most humane and giving of humans, took this dog in her arms and carried it to the nearest house and begged for water. She found a local vet and to cut a long story short after months of quarantine and £4000 in vets bills and fees (she took a job to pay these bills) "Boots" is home, healthy and the most loved and spoilt "Mutt" in the world. You and people like my friend are an inspiration and may God or his "God Particle", depending on what you believe spirit or science, bless you all.
