There is no arguing with personal taste. But at least I got good focus and the eyes are nicely prominent?

Hi Brian,

Yes, likely my personal taste as for me insect photos are all about the beauty of the bug, so while your focus is good and the eyes are nicely prominent, I much prefer your other shot because it was all about the beautiful bug, close-up and in a nice side profile view, set off by a lovely background of the edge of a leaf that drew attention to the cute little critter. In this image the leaf and all the detail in the leaf grabs my attention first, more than the beautiful bug.

I really liked that last image of yours, a lot.

When I was asked what type of pictures I wanted to take my answer was more or less... beautiful ones to share the beauty. Sounds like I succeeded with the previous image. I am a happy camper!
