    Mushrooms against a dead tree

These mushrooms almost doubled in size in about 48 hours.
The first one was taken on an overcast day. I just wonder how large they're going to end up?

    Mushrooms against a dead tree

This was taken this morning in fairly bright sunshine.

And, sorry, I didn't pay attention to the camera settings. Happens all the time.
I really need to start paying more attention.....

    Kris,

That's an interesting arrangement, are they edible?

I went into the garden today to shoot a row of 10 or so miniature fungus about 12mm high with domed heads on stalks that I had spotted yesterday but they had just disappeared overnight.

I don't know, and since I don't like the taste of mushrooms, I never gave it much thought.
They grew a bit more overnight.

You do not need to pay attention - the camera writes it all to the EXIF header of the picture file and you can look at it later.

e.g. The first photo was taken with a Nikon D5000 with a 18-55mm lens set at 45mm ISO 200 at 125th sec f5.6 Flash fired and WB auto. CS6 pp.

An interesting subject. You can learn a lot by having a look at EXIF files to check what the settings were.
