I really like the autumn colors and composition in this image Hui Song. I have to admit that I am a bit torn in the abstract, almost impressionistic, background and find it a tad distracting (others may disagree on this point). I wonder two things in that regard...
First, when you sharpened the image maybe if you masked off the background to lessen any noise brought on by that process?
Secondly, alone or in combination with the above, maybe adding a touch of blur to the background so that the shifts in tone and color are more subtle?
If you decide to rework it a little i would love to see the result.
Hui,
Beautiful.
Next time you do it look in the viewfinder and look carefully for odd light spots. Try to avoid any odd light spots.
When there are plenty of light spots in the image it makes good bokeh, odd spots are distracting.
I think that your subtle changes make a great improvement Hui Song but, more importantly, do you like your revised version better?
The tone of the first version is strong, clear and sharp. I do like that one better. For me, the white pattern in the background does bring some energy in the image. Based on the 1th version, I reduce the clarity for the whole background and reduce the exposure only for the white pattern on the left side. Here is the 3rd version.
For easier comparison, here is the 1st version
I see your point Hui Song and now you have me torn between the last two images In my world that means it's time to let the images sit for a while before I make my final decision.
Nice work!

[QUOTE=Hui Song;352572]A fall picture with no leaves.
Are there any other subjects we can shoot to show the fall color except leaves?
Some fungi look good at this time of the year. And you can sometimes get them amongst fallen leaves or on decaying branches etc.
An outstanding beauty......much appreciated
