Hi Brian,
I should've also added that your focus is wonderful, as is the light and the moment you captured... And that you captured the critters long tongue so clearly is also amazing.
Nature is just like that, and while for me the large area of white milky sap draws my eye more than the beautiful moth, that is just my personal taste. Perhaps if you have another chance to take a similar image, arrange the white sap (before the moment) into a smaller area or try different angle... I realize how hard that is to do and easy to think of after the fact, as I do it to myself all of the time, and then some.
I'm enjoying your images and your progress (some very nice images) and I would love to see the cheeky grasshopper but I have don't know where to find your blog.

Christina, this will take you to the 'cheeky grasshopper'. In a way we have done as you suggest. We have created (with a lot of help) a garden full of magnets for wee beasties. Haven't quite got to the point of re-arranging the bird droppings but we are trimming for better shadows.

Hi Brian,
Thank you for the link... Yes, I adore that cheeky little grasshopper. Right up there on the with the cute little fellow on the green leaf. Beautiful image, and super cute, too.
Looking forward to seeing those photos.. Perhaps a splash of water will suffice to tone down the white.
