    Red Billed Leiothrix

Last Saturday I walked through a less trodden path in Darjeeling and discovered many treasures of nature. This bird is one of them. I am sorry for the distracting background but I like the bird for its' color and beautiful posture. Hope you will like this bird. Red Billed Leiothrix

I agree. he background isn't too bad. Just take down the highlights on the leaves. The bird is quite beautiful.

    Pinaki,
In this case, you should forget the background. It is nature and the bird is very beautiful.
    Congratulations,
    Antonio.

Hello Pinaki, nice image of a beautiful bird. I wish I had it in Florida to photograph. You mentioned the background being distracting, I took the liberty to edit your image to show a way you can overcome that. Here is what I did. I cropped the bird a little tighter with a square crop which eliminates some of the background. Then using Adobe's Lightroom 5 post processing software I used the Radial Filter with an elipse around the bird to darken the background outside of the elipse by 1 stop of exposure. Next I lowered the Clarity on the oustside of the elipse by -50 and moved the Shapening slilder to -60 which added to the blur of the background outside of the elipse. I am posting the image so you can see what I did, if you would rather I didn't I will remove it.

Thank you Joe for viewing my pic and your valuable advice.I liked your pp version. unfortunately i don't have lightroom. Thats why i cannot follow your advice.I have Adobe Photoshop CS and i find it complicated.I have just done a bit of sharpening, increased saturation and cloned some areas to remove unwanted twigs. If you could tell me a few things about how to do in Photoshop i would be grateful.
