    Moon plus others

Took this tonight once it got too dark for Pelican shots, taken with 70D + 300mm f/2.8 set at f/10 1/100th ISO 100 spot metering on a monopod. View full size

Really nice moon shot, Roger. It's harder to do than it looks, and requires a fair amount of atmospheric conditional cooperation, and the photographer paying attention to those conditions and moon phase. I have never been entirely satisfied with the ones I've generated, and yours is as good as I've seen for some time.

That is the best moon shot I have seen in a while. Great job Roger! Like Kevin said the moon can be a tough subject.

Kudus on the moon shot Roger! I also like the detail in the pelican.

Given the blue sky reflection in the water of #2, I suspect that this image might benefit from a bit of lightening, but not to the point where you lose detail in the white feathers. White objects like this can be very tricky to preserve the details in.

thanks Frank I think my monitor needs calibration I've heard a few times that things could be brightened up and others stuff looks over exposed.
