    Fulfilment

I have finally completed my 365 photos of the year!!! Taking one photo every day for an entire year is one massive task but the results are truly fulfilling. Seeing where I have improved and being able to learn from my work was one of the best experiences and I really feel it was one of the most beneficial projects I have ever attempted. I highly recommend anyone to try this it really is great fun and highly rewarding.

Check out all 365 photos here.

You can do it Isabel!!! All you need to do is actually start. You can also try the 52 project which is one photo a week. I'm gonna do that as this years challenge, I've set myself a theme for each week to make it a bit more exciting and to create a goal. You should really try giving it a shot, you might be surprised and find that it gives you back that spark of enthusiasm and passion.

I promise myself to work my passion up to it this year and so am glad I found CiC even though late last year. I have been involved with photography since the film days and bathroom lab era then one swoop of an event last year took that breath away...I am on my way...thank you.

    Re: Fulfilment

A truly wonderful collection and achievement. Monumental. Just one, each day, right? I had a friend, much better than I, suggest this exercise but I simply don't have the courage to strip out my penchant for quantity ("the next one might be the one, so let's hurry on this one to get to the next") over a focused effort upon quality.

Slowing down - one's thinking, one's seeing - is a secret to living in the present, and being in the present is such a key to doing anything well or experiencing anything fully. So evident here. Seeing this lesson brought to fruition is, well, moving.

Maybe I'll try a version of it - not one, but maybe five? Ten?

    Thanks for sharing this.

    Re: Fulfilment

Mark its all about just actually doing it, it is a challenge and it is a lot of hard work but it is so worth it. I started this project with 2 of my friends they both gave up within a couple of weeks because they felt they could not commit so it really is something you need to think about very deeply before jumping in on it. The beauty of these "little" projects is that you don't actually need to start them at the new year, you can start them whenever you feel ready.

    Good Luck!!!

    Re: Fulfilment

Toby you are an inspiration. On one thought, I once made a blue and green mashed potatoes as a side dish and my children poo poo-ed it. Never again... When I can, I used to go around the shops that sells second hand stuff, we call it Op Shop in Australia (short for opportunity store) to look for photography accessories, you know...nice serving plates, knick-knacks to go with my food photography, odds and ends (simply because I love cooking...) You inspired me to get them out yesterday to look at them. DH gave me a nice lighting system so I might find a use for it now...I am learning a lot in CiC...

    Thank you...

Way to go, Toby! That is a hugely cool effort! I've already sent four people off to take a look.

One question I have for you, though, does the black cat mostly sleep? I counted only 1.5 instances of an eye being fully open for the picture (two eyes on one picture, 1 eye on another and the rest mostly asleep). ;~)

@virginia haha, he does occasionally move, he's an old boy though, 14 years, most of his moving comes when the younger cat, 5 years, decides that it's time to play and chases him through the house.

What an undertaking and accomplishment. I try and take pics everyday but it doesn't always work out.
Hats off to you for getting it done.

    Tobias,

What struck me when browsing through them was the sheer amount of very good photos. Congratulations on achieving this, an inspiration to all.
