I can shoot from above, below or anywhere in between but only within a very limited side to side and no from behind.

here is a shot showing my problem. The horizontal brown leaf is in this picture. There is just no way to shoot other than from the front.

Remove the leaf. Not with photoshop but with a pair of scissors or shears.
