I fully agree with Frank in that there is no problem caused by the wing-tip blur. For me it enhances the image by showing movement on what is a striking image of a bird flying and also emphasises the skill of the photographer in getting the head/beak spot on.

Grahame, if you wanted BIF to be sharp all around, you should've planned for faster shutter speed. But this one I will consider a keeper if it is mine. Good shot! Don't toss it out.
I like it better than the wing tip out of frame. I would be very happy with this shot.
Fine shot. As Frank said, a bit of wing blur is always good. It is hard to visualise that we know is clearly flying but looking as if he has been glued into the frame.
