Nice, the figure looks ghostly though.

I actually like it very much Werner although the sun is a bit distracting.

Re: something I cooked up lately
It's a nice, impressionistic rendering, quite interesting. There are things going on that could be fixed, but doing so might detract from the very nice effect you've created - I mention them here, but you may know all of this...
I'm guessing there's a polarizer on for two reasons - first, there are a lot of flare spots and in my experience (correctable) you get more of these with the circular polarizer on (so I take mine off for sun shots - I still get flare, just less). And second, they sky is much more darkened in some areas than others - the wider you shoot the more of this effect you get. This is just a guess, and it would be interesting to know whether there was a polarizing filter used, or not.
Two other things that I notice are: You could be crop to achieve horizontal, and the foreground subject is soft.
But every one of these items can be viewed as making this more interesting as it is.

I like it very much. A wonderfully creative idea. the only thing I find problematic, is that light strip immediately above the person's head. Is it the roof of a building. It looks like a halo! Also, the image is not straight and need a rotation to level it, if that is what is desired. Having it sloping down to the left, as it does, may have been a deliberate choice.

Hi Mark, thanks for your response.
The "messiness" in this particular picture is mostly intended.
Yes, I used a polarizer as I always do on sunny days. In this case I wanted those flares.

Hey Donald,
thanks for the hints. Not so sure about the rotation though.
The thing above the head is actually fog that got messed up during PP - oops
Cheers Werner
