Hi, Rita. Nice images. My thoughts on them:
1 - Very nice! Background is ok, to me. Best of the set, IMHO.
2 - Focus is good. It seems you lacked a bit of light here. Have you already applied a noise reduction tool? It could give you some improvement. (if it ruins the bird details, apply the noise reduction only to the background!).
3 - I think it could benefit from a bit of sharpening. The composition is very, very nice here!
4 - Nice and different approach. I think it works as an artistic approach. I like it.

I most like #1 and #4. I wouldn't worry about the background in #1,it looks fine

Otavio's advice was spot on. With the suggested fixes, all 4 look good. I do like 1 and 2 slight more for the feather details.

Practice...you're absolutely right! That's key. Regarding the weather, I would like some rain here. It's been over 40ºC (Almost 110ºF) during the last 60 days; a very hot summer! Good to enjoy the beaches and mountains but you get really sweated! Originally Posted by Rita
