    An Eagle and a Robin

I was at a lake the other day and saw this eagle. Would have preferred to have a frontal shot but the lake was in the way I am posting the original and the edit. In the original I liked the way the tree branches framed the bird but now that I have edited and cropped it I am just not sure.

Any feedback is always welcomed, it helps me learn

Rita the crop and framed branches works well in my opinion. Eagles from the back don't usually work but since you got good eye contact and nice feather detail I think it works well.

I like them, Rita. I agree with the comments made.

You did well with the eagle given the circumstances. I notice you inverted the view.

The crop definitely works. And I love the little Robin - he seems to be peeking into the image. Good captures

Thank you all for your kind comments.

It was indeed a lucky day for eagles, here is a pair that I also took that day.
I was told that this pair nest in a nearby tree so I am on the lookout for the nest
in hopes of capturing (with my camera of course) the young.

Beautiful birds Rita. You are lucky to have them close by. Do they nest near a city?

Eagles nests are pretty large and it shouldn't be too hard to find it. They keep adding to it while the young are in it.

They do hang out around cities and sometimes become tourist attractions

Hi Brian, yes the nests are very large. I have only a general idea where the nest is and the general
Vicinity is about a 2 km stretch with fairly dense bush. The eagles have been seen in different areas
of this stretch so it is just a matter of finding the right spot. I do go there quit frequently so I am sure
    I will find it.
I have my friends looking too

Louise, this lake is right in the centre of the city. If you come out on the one side of it the
Mall is about 1 block away.

OK Brian, I am impressed! That is the place. Now I know which kind of tree I am looking for. Thank you.

I like the re-framed eagle and the latest one.

The robin is pretty good but is spoiled somewhat by the strong CA along the top of the head.

Re: An Eagle and a Robin

Thanks Bobo. Darn, I didn't see the CA on the Robin, something I need to watch for. I have
Noticed this on some others that I have taken too. Any suggestions to prevent this?
