IMO on a shot like this where the tail ends up doesn't matter. The eyes are what draws the attention and the image can be composed around them. The bottom and right side are just dead space. Add as much or as little as necessary to place the head/eyes where you want them in the frame and taking up as much of the image as desired. If you're there as is then you're there. But that would be selfish not letting us viewers see as much detail as possible in that cool looking face
