    Black Cockatoo

Had a flock of Yellow Tail Black Cockatoo's drop in at a property I was painting at today.
They were about 15 - 20 metres up so this image was cropped a fair bit.
I will post a few more as I edit them.
    Cheers, Greg

I really like him - the pose is different from the usual so his body has a nice curve. Must have been difficult to get and keep focus, especially with those distracting (but nice) pine cones in front of his face. He looks as if he is really busy, so that's another difficulty to find sharp focus.
    Thank you.

Thanks Pania, I liked the pose as well and did you notice the little bit of pine cone falling just below him. I was pleased when I saw that in the image.

Andre, I'm always quietly pleased when you like one of my images. Let's me know I'm on the right track.

Greg...that was the second thing I saw in the shot -- a pine cone seed. I like the curve of his body...it is beautiful. I hope you got more shots of her...

Glad you like the image Izzie, I have about a dozen shots I will work through so will probably post another tonight given time.

Nice shot, Greg. Maybe a little bit of sharpening on the eye to bring up that tiny catch light?

Grand bird, nice composition and is appealing overall. I cannot see that the crop had any adverse consequences.

I was thinking like Mark Avery pleasing composition, and I wish my crops held the details like that.

What a beauty he is and your skilled work has brought it out all sooooooooooo well.

    Great work Greg.

Now to the minor niggle - that frame should be drawing attention INTO the centre but is doing the reverse for me.

Thanks Bobo, glad you like it. As far as frames go, I'm a bit hopeless at them. Any tips would be appreciated. I use CS6.
