    Bird Impact with glass

No art here- just a curious and near-perfect imprint of a bird impacting my dining room window. Amazing amount of detail including wings, feathers, head and beak at instant of impact. He did not survive.

I cannot think of the right term, but reminds me of the ?spectral energy emissions? supposedly given off when the spirit leaves the body.

Kind of creepy in a way, but gosh, you can even see the impact of the tail feathers!

We've certainly had bird strikes on our windows, but nothing emded up as spectacular as this image. I examined the windows at the back of the house after hearing a large bang and finding a large male (and thoroughly dead) pileated woodpecker on the ground couple of years ago.

Amazing shot and well put together; too bad for the bird though...
