Looks like she wins. Nice image.
A very sweet face. Dogs are a lot like kids in assigning their "parents" their respective roles: I am for playing, my wife is for loving. Works for me.
The image speaks for its self Dan,she is a lovely dog
It's a sweet moment to capture, Dan. She's a beautiful dog.
Lovely dog,nice shot
This image makes me smile. My 55-pound Goldendoodle also thinks that she is a lap dog!
Thanks, guys. As you can see she's as spoiled as she is pretty.
Richard, sounds like lap warmer is slightly larger but not much.
Izzie, I can't even imagine having that large of a dog around the house much less having it try to climb in the lap. But I'll bet nobody messes with you while he's there
Simple, yet everything, it's the eye's, does me everytime... My Labrador is the same.
Great shot
Beautiful image and story.. Those eyes!
Handsome dog! It's funny how a dog will divide up its loyalties.
My 70lb goldendoodle is not a lap dog. She is content just to have some physical contact (like right now, on the couch with me, her butt up against my hip). But when she wants something, totally different story. She will climb up onto the back of the couch, literally draping herself over my shoulders and either resting her head on my shoulder or on the top of my head.
Thanks for all the comments guys. As well as dogs manipulate us, I often think that they understand human nature better than we do ourselves.
If you want to get a better understanding of dogs, take a look at 'Inside of a Dog' by Alexandria Horowitz.
I have absolutely no doubt about this Dan! And they just do it instinctively while we ourselves have so much difficulty even understanding ourselves! We could learn a lot from them!
Very cool shot Dan. And you want to see some loyalties come to my house for a while! Our two never get more than five feet from their Mommy except for the daily runs/bathrooms!
It's funny... Our Goldendoodle is pretty well a his and her's dog. When my wife and I are out in the car with her, when one of us goes into the store she cries. It doesn't matter which one of us has left her.
However, we have Maltese (our own - not the rescue Maltese) who have staked out one or the other of us as their principal human. They all love us both, but it is obvious which of us is more important to each of them...
Dear Dan,
I gather then, that you are only just recently married? If so, I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations. My bride and I
Lovely dog, lovely picture.
Isabel, that is my face also...LOL'smy face looks like a saucepan that has the words "cook" and "treats" printed all over it.
