    Pretty in pink

I'm not very good at identifying plants and flowers, but I believe this is an azalea.
Their are a few neighbours that have them growing along their fence lines. They bloom usually in the Spring, around the same time as the bluebonnets.
However, this one is growing wild in the middle of the woods on the property next to ours.
My husband found it by accident while clearing some winter debris. And had me try to get to them through all the under brush, just so I could take pictures.
Technically, I guess I was trespassing....

Honestly...David -- you make me laugh...and Kris, you have a wise husband. He must love you taking photographs of many things and enjoys looking at them too...yes this is an azalea. I used to have them in Australia in my backyard. Even my ex-parents in laws have them (bless them!) Dad, my ex-father-in-law introduced me to gardening fruits, flowers and vegetables.

Nice shots, Kris. And I second you and Izzie in celebrating the helpfulness of non-photog spouses. My wife has no patience for the technical aspects and learning curves of photography, but has developed a good photographic eye that sees thing that I miss. If she draws my attention to something, I give it a very hard look because there is probably a good shot to be had, even when she's not sure how to frame it.

Thanks all for the nice comments.
Some of the shots I took were well worth tripping over low growing and vines and digging my way through the under brush. I guess I have about 2 more weeks to take more pictures before the flowers are gone....

Sounds like my husband. He is strictly a P&S snapshooter. He started learning basic PP during the winter months when the weather didn't allow too much venturing outside.
Now that it's officially spring, he has "better things to do than sitting in front of a computer to play with pictures".
