Hi Christina,
All but #6 work for me, as you say, 'the odds' of 6 different heads in an image all being at coincident minimal motion blur for the same 1/60s is just too great - not impossible, just very unlikely. Nothing wrong in trying occasionally though, eh?
In bold below, I have slightly amended the words of your number one to be less specific; (as I know you know) there are two different reasons for undesired subject softness; focus/DoF and motion blur
Now that sounds like a good plan!
If only I could do the same with my birds
Alas, I keep far too many, the usual excuse being "I'll keep that one so I remember that this combination of settings doesn't work" or "I'll keep that for ID purposes" or "I'll keep that because it's the only shot I have of this species", but they just clutter the folder and dilute the slightly better ones. Yeah, I know, I should be more rigorous applying star ratings, then filter on them to show only the good ones, but I frequently lose interest while going through them all, then none ever see the light of day (or CiC)
You obviously don't seem to have the same problem, you're more driven than I am to succeed and I admire you for that quality. Keep it up.
Good work,
