    Beachcombing in the evening rain

Beachcombing in the evening rainBeachcombing in the evening rain. by Sharon Reid2010, on Flickr

I have hit a wee 'seam of creativity' and it's rather fun.

This comes from a series of shots but was instantly my favourite because it just seemed to come together with minimal stress and the texture worked so beautifully on the reflections of the water and that setting sun.

I don't have any of my 'work' on the wall but this one just might make it.

    All comment and critique welcomed.

    Oh quite easily indeed Mike!

It has to stand the 'tommorow' test and I'll probably find some glaring flaw by then.

I thing the glaring flaws you'll find are that it's just too damn bright, sunny, colorful and cheerful. This one almost had me giddy. Dial it back, girl ;-)

It really is a lovely image and I'd print it on canvas and hang it. Not to rain on the parade, but the title and the brightness of the print seem like a bit of a disconnect.

Not for me. I've been in light rains occasionally when I could look in a particular direction and see only bright light such as in this scene. That's exactly what this scene reminds me of.

Thanks Mike..evening rain, certainly here in Scotland, can lend a very gentle aspect to any scene, even a warm Summer one.

Thank goodness as there's no darned shortage of the stuff!

That is another brilliant piece of art Sharon.

Absolutely gorgeous and decadently cheerful! I love being out in the rain when the sun is shining. (brings rainbows to mind)

    Truly special.

I love this... as I do most of what you post. I certainly echo the sentiments of others who say that it is definitely worthy of space on the wall.

Nice 'work' indeed. The texture suited well. But I would rather have the rain drops reduced in number and clarity.
BTW, the monsoon has hit us this morning with all its beauty. (There lies a concealed meaning to that last word - fury)

I like what you have done with the sun, Sharon. It brings to mind Turner - not that I am that familiar with his work.
