Re: Montepulciano
Makes me want to go there, not just to take in the scenery but also to take in the wine of the same name as the area. Ironically, the Montepulciano wine grape is not from the area of Montepulciano. The wine, Vino Nobile de Montepulciano, is from the area of Montepulciano but is made primarily from the Sangiovese grape and has no Montepulciano grape in it. Sheesh!

Re: Montepulciano
Well done for getting to the top without stopping for drinks at every opportunity on the climb up the town!
Mike - just go! Don't forget Piedmont though....

Re: Montepulciano
I saw the title and expected to see a bottle of wine!
But what we do see is a very pleasing and pleasant alternative.
