    Adventure Dog

My dog Tucker exploring some long grass. This one was a little challenging due to the way the facing and the sun light. C&C welcome.

What happened to his tounge Kyle ? I hope it is not something serious. Grass frames him nicely

Thanks for the comments. He's just got a big tounge, Binnur. It was hot out that day so he was panting a lot.

It's ok then I thought the bright pink part on his tounge was hurt. I have a Golden too with a big tounge. Because he is too old (14) , we usually stay indoors when it is hot.

Nice shot Kyle; if I might suggest one minor tweak?

Crop that tiny uneven band at the top; that would simplify the background and take out a small distraction that keeps drawing my eyes away from the subject. If you want to preserve the aspect ratio of the shot, cropping the left side of the frame a bit wouldn't hurt either.

Wonderful expression - he is saying he adores you for going out with him, I think. Anyway, very happy.

He was very happy to be out especially because we were out with his best friend, Fergus. Tucker doesn't usually care much for other dogs but he actually plays with Fergus.

Here's an edit based on your suggestions Manfred. I think it works much better this way.

Kyle, your edit is much better. Handsome dog. I think the Golden's personality is the best one out there and it shines through in your pic. Good pic, good doggie!

I agree with Jack, Kyle. The crop improves the image. Also, the horizon on the original was slanted. I'm sure this was not on a slope :-) Be conscious of your framing. I know I make those "errors" myself. Maybe next time, frame him closer to the left frame while observing the rule of thirds. Just my two cents :-) Cheers.
