    Small Waves

Here are some small wave shots recently taken. When the conditions are right you can get very interesting bubbles and water shapes at the lip of the wave as it throws over, it's something that you don't realize or see until you photograph it. All of these are small waves no bigger than two feet high, sorry about the watermarked images I had used these somewhere else.

These photos are inspirational, Roger, I will be waiting for the next flat surf day now . I especially like the 6th for the texture you have captured in the water. Did you take these from the shore, or did you wade out a bit?

Good series Roger, and something interestingly different, it's 5 & 6 that stand out for me.

Any chance of the speed you used for these captures?

Now .... that is real water shots! extraordinary than most I've seen. The edges are similar to those that Terri was creating (iphone shot?) My favourites are 1, and 6 for the texture, even if it looks almost artificial...particularly the left side flipping back...I love that bit...With water splash, you'll never know what shape and how shapes will turn out.

Wonderful images; i have never seen sea water with crystal clarity and transparency.... I like all, and specially the first one; it looks like a multi-hooded serpent as pictured in Hindu Mythologies...

I just used a 70-200mm lens with shutter at 2500 or so and the apperature around 5.6 and iso as low as the light will allow.
