Once again, you have produced some really superb images. I don't think I have ever caught one eating. Were the bottom 3 also the 100mm, or did you switch to your MP-E 65?

I don't know how you do this at that temperature.

My only suggestion is that #2 looks a tad over-sharpened to me.

Nicely captured, 3, 5, 6, and 7 are my favorite mainly because it highlights the cheesy smile.

All good as usual David as far as I am concerned Maybe 2 is cropped more than others.

Not many around here. The only ones I have seen have been flying too high or too fast to stand any chance of shooting them with anything other than a rifle. I might get one to settle then.

I most certainly wouldn't be able to stand 44C. Now I understand why when I was in Turkey last year a guide had woollies on at 22C and thought it was cold. All us Brits thought it was wonderful.

Thanks Dan, this is the second one I have caught eating, I watched it take the fly but by the time I got into position it was nearly gone I just checked my exif and only #3 was with the MP-E, I thought they were all with my 100mm on my screen #2 looks ok, but sometimes Tinypics can cause things to look different to what they look before you post

As for the temperature, I try for an hour before it gets dark, its just impossible otherwise

Hi David. Very nice series. But I would recommend you should stay in doors till evening at this time of year. My brother has been living in Marmaris since March and he can't go out during the day because of the hot weather . I'm having a hard time with hot weather too, even in Çanakkale. So, please take care

Thank you Binnur, yes it is extremely hot for this time of year, although 5 or 6 years ago it was 60 dg C here, the hottest it had been for over 400 years, which caused our glass patio table to shatter into a million pieces. I think in the next week or two the temp is to drop to a more normal and bearable 30ish? "Kendine iyi bak"

I'm wearing black socks and sandals at the moment and often do, even in the house in the winter. Mandatory in Turkey. Nothing is worse than very sweaty feet.

Various places around and between Antalya and Cappadocia last October. My avatar is a shot of part of my head and the roof of one of those amazing very early Christian churches you have over there. Frustrating. They allowed photography but then banned flash but of course some took no notice so now no photography. I had hoped to keep my head out of the way.

    Great series David,

I was telling someone here a few weeks back how they tuck their 'arms' behind their eyes, just leaving four legs down - and your #3 demonstrates that very nicely (as none of my shots did, when I looked).

    Thanks, Dave

Hi John, you can just about get away with that look in the U.K. but not really here in this heat I return to Scotland at least 4 times a year and in the winter they close the airport my end, and I have to leave from Antalya, it is very popular for golfers in winter, Cappadocia is on my to do list, a beautiful place
