Last of the horse pics in this series (C&C welcomed)

Today, I finally completed editing all the pictures of my friend and her horse. Since I took the photos over a month timeframe, I can honestly see the difference in my skills - improving and understanding more. This one was from the last session we did. I enjoy the colors and textures in this one...

Thanks to those who commented on previous post of this pair to take the shadows off her face -- huge help & one I have used a lot!

— The way I understand this picture is that here are two movements here: one is
directed to the left and relatively slow, and a second the ups and downs of less
amplitude but so much faster of the rider. The SS (1/320) seems to have been
fast enough for the leftward movement of the horse but 1/500s could have been
better for the rider.
— The face of the rider is in full light but she doesn't look happy.
— The frame is perfect as well as the extension of the horse.
— Very nice separation with the background.
— If I would try to render this picture within the comfort zone of the photographer,
this is what it would look like (for sure you could do better with the original RAW):

Right on Daniel - you obviously understand riding. Very good point about the SS... Def will consider that next time.

My friend is very intense ... That's what came across is many of her photos.

There are two conclusion to your sorrowful regrets:

1. Your rendition was so good that I could not do anything else without
diverging from your intent.
2. I did find some corrections that needed be done, though subtle. The
only correction I would have liked to add was impossible: sharpness.

I would have liked that as well - sharpness is my goal. I'll be doing the exercise you gave me tomorrow. Thank you.
