Formworker
Think you have a tough job? Try building formwork in the sea. These guys have been working through winter building a new sea wall to protect a municipal pool. They can only work at low tide but, as you can see, that doesn't guarantee a dry work place. Where's King Canute when you need him?
All C&C welcome.
The colours are a bit drab so tried it in B+W - in case anyone asked for it - but I think the guy is overpowered by all the whites.

Re: Formworker
The colour version works best partly because the high vis jacket stands out so well. Are you sure he is not just making some sort of fancy cray pot or crab trap?

Re: Formworker
King Canute is busy somewhere in Europe holding back the tides over there without thinking that someone might also be drowning on the tide in Oz... Nice capture...I like both versions -- has it own pros and cons in it, like not being able to make up my mind which one really works well.?

Re: Formworker
If it was a bright yellow jacket, I suspect it would be over the top and B&W would be the best option. But for me, that red shade, particularly from that angle, works fine.
And the surf seems to have a little more impact in colour.
So all in all, a good shot of real life working conditions.

Re: Formworker
Paul, Izzie, Geoff thanks for commenting.
I think you have nailed it for me. In this shot, the colour refines the definition.

Re: Formworker
Greg -just an observation you have lightened the jacket and face in the B&W version and I think you should do the same (at least to the face) in the coloured version.

Re: Formworker
Hi Paul, yes I had lightened the face and shirt significantly in the colour version (see original below) but they really popped when I used a red filter in the conversion. Here's the colour version with lighter face and shirt.
Original 'sooc'
