A few from my "new" DSLR outfit

I just got a Pentax dslr, and a 55-300 lens. These are my first attempts with it. All were handheld.

You have fun Carol, #2 is a wonderful image, I love how you have framed it as the other Greg mentioned and great contrasting colours.
#1 has some great colours but the foliage in the foreground is a little distracting, perhaps a step to the left or right might have helped?
#3 we all like a good sunset, nice one

I particularly like #2 too, not because I am an Aussie too but because it is a very clean shot with contrast well executed and the composition is just dang too perfect and simple.

Greg, thank you! On #1, from my deck there was only a very small window thru the trees to take the shot. No way to eliminate the foreground trees (maybe in PS).
