    Knickerbocker Farm

Found this lonely tree out on Knickerbocker Farm behind my house. Love Autumn sunsets. Enjoy.

Nice capture, I like the second as the field looks more lively and the added greenery really complements the sky.

That looks like one of those scenes where there are several different crop options - and each one will produce a different effect.

Certainly looks like a wintry scene, particularly with the distant flying birds in #1.

I like both but for different reasons. The first one has a nice touch with the geese flying high in the sky. The second one has a better "feel" to what you were experiencing and provides more information for the eye to look at. Also nice color contrast with the green grass and the reds/purples of the sky.

Hi Zak: This is a nice subject and the lighting is very pleasing. My favourite would be the first image because I think the flock of birds really adds to the overall feeling. I agree that you probably have a number of cropping options. I do think the first shot can be improved with an off centre composition.

+1 to Brian's response (#4)...I can't think of anything to add to his comment. Both has its own merit. Good potential for different angled shots.

I forgot to say that I'm also gonna get some nice landscape photos this winter with my new Sigma 10-20 lens....If my wife (santa) gets me one. So much beauty I took for granted in Western NY.

Very nice Zak, I like both but #1 a little better.
