It works for me as a general landscape scene; but if you want to make the figures an important element I would crop a fraction tighter from the bottom and right side.
+1 to Geoff's comment. There are many elements to choose here but generally, a good landscape shot with the human element added to it that shows how big and huge the place it...
It does a great job of showing difference in altitude between the lake on the left and slope at the right edge, in addition the vastness of the depth to the scene.
The only thing I would question is how well it determines if the climbers are ascending or descending, but that's really insignificant in this great image.

I agree with the above, a very nice shot that would probably be improved with the suggested cropping. Also I'm not completely sure about the contrails although they are nice leading lines to somewhere
Nice shot Matt, it works for me. My only suggestion would be to bump up the contrast a little and back off the highlights a bit.

The composition is good. I would darken the area of the background slope that is behind the hikers to make them stand out a bit better. Makes for a more dramatic scene IMO.
Lovely capture Matt
Thanks for all the feedback guys, I'll give the suggestions a try and post up the outcome.
I like the cropped sky - it forces me down to focus on the landscape and people more - looks like an awesome walk
Yes, crop #1 for me.
