What are those extras in the image, looks like plastic bits? My eyes are immediately drawn to those areas and also the strip of glass in the upper corner.

Extra bits? From the bottom up there is a longish sliver from a plant, a rusty nail and finally a broken piece of porcelain. I am guessing you made a typo and really meant 'strip of gRass'? I left it there because this is a shot on a rock but it could be removed.
