I like the first shot too, Jack -- the light made this shot. You should be bored some more and walking around your shed unearth some of the most interesting objects to shoot. Are you a past firefighter? Very interesting hat...They don't make it like this anymore.

I agree with the previous posters on the first shot. It's pretty cool. What is the purpose of the metal piece in the second shot? It is clearly made to be decrorative but I suspect there is a functional design purpose as well.

Thanks Dan. That metal piece is a brass eagle, used to hold the top of the front piece in place.
