There's a moose.
While driving through Wilson, Wy. on the way back from the morning's photo hunt, (last September), my girlfriend spotted this moose walking down the side of the road. She said there's a moose but I was having trouble seeing it considering I was looking into the tree line. It wasn't until his rump was almost blocking my view of the trees that I realized there was a moose in my window!
Obviously this was one of those times that a nikkor 70-200mm was just to much lens. I actually had to lean back over the console of the car to get my auto focus to work.
Anyway, we were able to cross Moose off the wild animal list, albeit we saw 3 more that trip!

Re: There's a moose.
Just enough reach, wouldn't be the same if you had say an 18-55mm.

Re: There's a moose.
Well that's up close and personal. Glad you got the opportunity to fully appreciate the size. As you can see deer are yet one more of the things that are not larger in Texas.

Too close for comfort, David...I though moose are in their abundance in the Wyo area. In Texas...that would be a treat to see one indeed. Oh! you were in Wyoming at the time. Silly me! Mybad...

Re: There's a moose.
Dan, Texas deer are about the size of y'alls coyotes and yes, I did get to fully appreciate the size of these things! I say I was leaning over the console to get the shot...that and the fact that I was within arms reach of his antlers, so the leaning back was sort of a natural response.
It was a treat indeed and a memory to last forever. Just wished I could of witnessed him in a little more wilderness than the Wilson community.

Re: There's a moose.
The only thing I would change is to remove that small red line coming up from the bottom.
