Bernard...animal conditioning is loosely defined as getting critters to do/act as pleases you.
In this case...a more photogenic background is called for...they are lost in the clutter.

If you were able to get close enough to photograph just one bird, with reduced background distractions it would look fine. Or if you were lucky enough to find both birds sufficiently close together.

Nice capture. It's nice to see the male and female birds in the same shot. Yesterday I got a shot of a pair of bluebirds and didn't even know it! I just saw birds, I didn't know what species, so I took a shot... and they surprised me.

How come I missed this post? Anyway...I went and google those kinds of birds, not much information about their habits either but they are beautiful...I am like Nick. I saw a bird outside my dining room window posing for me, took several shots and didn't even know what it was..I am playing with my magpie shots today...

Yea the first pic is definitely out to lunch. The second is far better as the subject is seen much clearer.

Izzie, I recognized that they were Eastern Bluebirds as soon as I saw my pic on the computer, I just had a bad view finder! - Sorry, OP- off topic.
