Dear John,
Yes, there is "that look".
Great capture. Did you do this one "from the hip"? Did you prefocus?
You always see some very interesting vignettes.

John...I do so hate people photography but...then I took a closer look at your camera settings after,
I marveled at the stellar conversion. ISO 4000, where did all the noise go?
Like I said...great conversion!
Great example of the impact of body language!
Nicely timed. Why such high iso? I never really go beyond 1000 and the lighting here doesn't seem too bad tbh...not low enough for such a high iso? However noise reduction very good though this does seem to soften certain areas the image. Good conversion I must add. Never really done much off the hip..seems a bit hit and miss for me...usually I go in straight for the kill..lift camera up..frame, focus and by the time anyone has realised I've taken a shot I'm gone ha ha!
Notice the EXIF data John provided. He used the absolutely slowest shutter to guarantee that the action would be stopped. (I wouldn't have used a shutter speed that slow but he got away with it working.) So, the high ISO value was required to stop the action using the selected aperture. The only way to have used a lower ISO value would have been to use a larger aperture. He was shooting from the hip and probably felt that a larger aperture risked not keeping everything in focus.
Very nice John. good timing.
Nicely done John...I cannot add anything more than what has already been said...
Terrific John!
I struggle with the noise of my 7D in a whole other way, the noise of the shutter, even on either of the 'silent' settings, would give me away.
Good hip shot using an 85mm lens!
Were you inside or outside the shop's premises?
WW
That's a great grab shot. It's the one that makes all the "nearly" shots worth while.
Great shot......you were on the right spot at the right time.........
