I would however, as suggested before, work on the colour correction but I would keep the yellow in the sky as it adds something to the image.
I also quite like Nr.5 but my eye seems to not be quite sure where to settle, I keep being pulled between the focal point that is the waterfall and the cool looking branch in the floor to the right, but yet something interests me in this shot.
Thanks for the comments Toby, hopefully I have achieved some of that with the latest edit.

Matt, I like the first image in your second set of edits very much. I will be curious what others have to say as I feel like you could still play around with the PP a bit more but I'm not sure I have any suggestions that would help...

Good set Matt, they make me feel cold.

My vote is for No 2 and there's scope to alter the snow colour as to how you prefer, and separately to the sky.

In addition I find that the deep shadow on the left lower bushes is a bit distracting, options are to pull the shadows out in just that area (the details there) or possibly crop some of the left and top (to retain the same ratio) which works well.

Matt, I like your snow scenes. Sometimes beautiful white snow does nothing for the image.
I like the last image, it is cold and probably a little bit dangerous. If the scene was rendered
beautifully white. It would not have the same effect. Snow scenes does not always have to be
white. Just a thought, that is only my opinion.

I think they are all good Matt and you have managed to take one of those scenes of which there can be many interpretations in the post work but you are the only one that knows what you saw and want to convey.

As an example here's a version I worked on, globally brightened, shadows lifted locally and land warmed up. Is is better, absolutely not, it's just different.

What I have admired about your images posted recently is that you have made the effort to get out there, early in the day and also in unfavourable weather that adds interest and picked some good scenes.

That is outstanding Grahame! I have tried to emulate that, I still prefer yours but I think there is an improvement

Matt...although I find that the first shots were on the blue side I particularly like the waterfall shots best as you did not smooth it out, very natural. My favourite amongst the two is #5...

The succession of edits has been good so far as it progresses to the more what some would expect of a near perfect photograph of snow scenes...Well done on the edits.

Thanks Izzie, this blue cast is becoming a recurring theme. But I have ordered a UV filter to hopefully sort out the problem. It doesn't show up as much on my monitor so I sometimes miss it.

I have had a lot of help with the edits and learned quite a bit so thanks to all

Your camera already has one built into the stack on the sensor, so this is not going to fix the issue. I had a red cast on some of my shots and found I had accidentally reset my default neutral in my camera, and that was the root problem for me.

When I look at your latest edits, you still have a blue / cyan bias in the snow, but it has been reduced quite a bit versus your original. The sky, on the other hand looks rather weird, with a really yellow cast.

Thanks Manfred, it must be something I do in PP in that case, I'll have a look.
