Chestnuts
Taken last autumn - one of my favourites, and I think, one of my best so far.
Critique please.

Re: Chestnuts
Well captured, like the line of trees that leads you deeper , good DOF and the color is nicely captured.

Re: Chestnuts
Hi Norm,
This has good exposure and saturation.
My only thought is that if I'd been there, I would have panned the camera slightly to the left before taking the shot.
I say that because I find the extreme right hand area doesn't contribute much, also the 'vanishing point' of the line of chestnuts feels too far to the left.
I guess you could crop the right hand side off (from just left of the single bright leaf mid frame height) now, but that harms the aspect ratio, which feels good now.
Do bear in mind these are just my personal feelings - you don't have to agree with me.
Anyway, I hope that helps, Dave

Re: Chestnuts
Thanks for all the comments - much appreciated.
If I'd panned left, I think there would have been too much of the dark hedge (at present unseen, but I know it's extent), which would have cut down on the nice colours in the rest of the pic.
Only 15 minutes walk from home, so quite possibly another try later in the year.

Re: Chestnuts
Hi Norm , I agree with Dave about cropping the image from right side. Nice line of trees and colors.

Re: Chestnuts
As an alternative crop. Something from the top to create a 3 x 2 ratio, or something similar, would tend to increase the apparent depth of scene
