    Holi Legs - C&C Welcome

Hi, going forward on my photography venture I stopped and clicked another shot. Can you please review it and let me know what exactly is missing for it to make it much better?

Recently i have been to barsana and nandgaon to shoot "Holi" which is a festival of colors in india. Just before the shoot i saw these guys standing and i really like their cloths drenched in colors along with their feet.

The shoot was very tough because my rain cover was fully covered with the colors and i was doing some blind shooting for sometime i.e i was not able to view in view finder or live view.

Please provide your views and suggestion with composition, frame, crops and processing.

    Thank You

PS : Please click on the image for lightbox screen view (Highly recommended)

Very nice image Raj. I can't find a thing to say to improve the image.

Well worth the look in the light box Raj

Maybe getting lower would improve the composition, this feels as if it is shot looking down at he the subjects.

Nice capture, your subjects clothing seemed to survive the festival. Hopefully your gear did as well!

Nicely captured, I was at a powder run recently and like you was very concerned about my gear. Whenever a few of the participants got a bit too overzealous with the powder, I would quickly retreat to a safer location.

Raj - you have a very compelling set of images. I congratulate you on escaping (relatively?) unscathed with functioning and dry gear.

One small suggestion. With images like these, the viewer's eyes tend to run off the page, just because there is so much to see. Adding a very subtle, almost unnoticeable vignette darkens the corners of the image ever so slightly and keeps the viewer's eyes looking at the image without running of the edges.

I've added a subtle vignette in the first shot and the second one is your original.

I like the vignette effect , but I prefer the colors in your originals, because I think they are already real colors used in the festival.

All these shots Raj are very colourful (pun intended). I like all of them but I like the first one better of all, very simple and yet...interesting...

Just to let you know...here in St. Louis, Missouri, Color Fun Fest will be held this coming May 16, 2015 also part of the Holi festival from India. And no, I am not going ...not game to ruin my camera...might be fun though...here's the link and the official video:

I like all the shots... Especially the expressions on the faces of the men in #2... Somehow, I get the feeling that they were not entirely thrilled with the entire process...

I liked #3 because the colored dust leads me to the subjects.

#1 is great because it is a very unusual, yet very effective angle...

Any problems keeping your camera/lens clean?

Thanks for your kind review and suggestion. Yes, they were so lost in the prayers that they were not thrilled

Not problem with all in protecting camera/lens with a good rain cover taped to the hood and good UV Filter to protect the front element. Everything was good. This is something i was talking about... its me with my gear
