That's a cool set of shots Graham, well done. Burst mode ?
Extreme sport indeed.
Dave
Interesting series. Exposure and focus are first class; and with good sharp clean surf.
Awesome Graham.
And stuck the landing!
That shot is nearly as clever as the jet ski manoeuvre. Great capture.
Thanks everyone for the comments
Yes Dave, high speed burst mode using jpeg only - no raws. I also used a monopod to support the Tamron 150-600.
Thanks Geoff. I've discovered that bright sunny days at the beach are like bright days in the snow. I have to set the exposure to +2/3 to prevent under exposures. The shots could use a little tweaking but at least they're a good base point.
Fabulous, Grahame! It makes me feel even more appreciative of how grateful I would be to be the photographer rather than the subject.
Now that definitely warrants a 'wow', which are not given out lightly.
Well done, Graham. Excellent bit of sports action photography.
Great shots! Love to jet ski, perhaps I will work on that trick over the weekend, NOT!!!!
Indeed, stellar captures! The 3rd is my favourite for the gorgeous white water action, and also for the position of the jet ski and the sense that the driver is looking into the camera.
Excellent set, Graham. What makes them special for me is that you have captured the arc of the water trail, so you could view any one of them in isolation and still realise that the guy has done a 360.
Really neat
That's awesome. Maintaining focus for every frame is no small feat. Nicely done.
Great series.
And another "Wow" from me. Very well done.
Glorious, glorious shots, Graham...excellent timing! I thought I will only see three shots but as I go along, I feel the excitement building up inside me...asking whether he hit the guy in front of him ... when I saw the rest of them, rest my soul! they are all OK, even the guy swimming at the left hand side...
My goodness - stunning images.
