Re: Sand Blasted
Nice and abstract Jack. It works really well.

Re: Sand Blasted
Jack for me the big shadow in the middle distracts from the rest of the shot. I love the lines and the texture of the gritty sand.

Re: Sand Blasted
Barbara, thanks for viewing. Yeah, I agree it's a bit weird, I see it as some kind of 'batman' shadow, but it's just to much part of the image to remove. I see it as an image of lines and texture, I guess the 'batman' thing has to stay.

Re: Sand Blasted
I like this, Jack. Good composition with the shadows and the fishing line in there for a little extra interest. The sand looks like it has been rain-blasted to me, though.

Re: Sand Blasted
Well, at least it is clean sand...when I saw your title I was thinking of our sandblasting machine at the hangar with the two rubber hands inside, nothing like it and I love the shadows you created here. I love the composition as is...interesting.

Re: Sand Blasted
Greg, thanks! Either way, the sand was 'blasted', no?
Izzie, thanks. I know what you mean, I've used them before. There's some kind of analogy here I think.
Thanks John.

Re: Sand Blasted
This is a reasonably unique image in the sense that it combines several opposite factors:
- abstraction and realism;
- indications of the past and present; and
- indications of what is and is not in the scene.
Very, very nicely done. Don't change a thing.
